A word on the World Cup
If you’ve spent even five minutes in Argentina you know that football isn’t just a game. It’s a lifestyle. A spiritual practice, if you will.
At Legally Funny we’ve decided to pause our mic during the World Cup. We’re still going to see how far Argentina might make it, but it’s likely that folks will want to watch matches regardless of who makes it.
We’re still evaluating, but we’ll likely return to the stage on July 23, 2026. In our experience as non-famous comedians (for now), many fellow performers will likely want to hang out with friends, enjoy the festivities, and get sloshed.
That means if you’ve been itching to perform stand-up, poetry, or other performing arts in English, now is a great time to sign up before our World Cup break.
This is also subject to change or modification. We’ll keep you posted!

Prefer to watch performers or want to check out the venue before signing up someday? We have free tickets to our June 4 open mic.
The admission is a la gorra (free entry with an optional tip at the end). We don’t reject anyone for a lack of funds.
